iPhone Cacheability
Friday, August 22nd, 2008Here’s an excellent article from YUIblog about the web performance on iPhone and iTouch’s Mobile Safari.

Making good use of your browser’s cache is the key; I’ve noted some useful facts:
- iPhone won’t cache components bigger than 25K!
- The iPhone browser was able to cache a maximum of 19 external 25KB components. The maximum cache limit for multiple components is found to be 475K - 500 KB.
- The iPhone browser cache is not persisted across power cycle.
- The typical data download speed varies from 82 kbps to 150 kbps.(EDGE)
Now it’s time to optimise my webapp further! Haha~
